Pine Cove, Here we Come!!!!
Off to camp we go!
Campers need to arrive at Mercy Street
Sunday, August 7 @ 10:00am
We will depart at 10:30am
Mercy Street will hold an early check-in
Saturday, August 6 @ 4pm
to organize campers luggage by cabin

A packing list has been mailed to your student;
below is a list of what they should bring:
Bedding(twin sheets or sleeping bag) and blanket
Pillow
2 Towels and washcloths
8 Loose fitting T-shirts
8 Modest shorts
1 pair jeans or long pants (for horseback riding)
Underwear
Socks
Flip flops or sandals for the pool
One piece swimsuit and shorts to wear over them
(If all the student has is a 2 piece, a dark shirt and shorts will need to be worn)
Pajamas
Closed toe shoes-one for wearing around camp, one for getting dirty
Toiletries
Insect repellent
Flashlight
Bible
Pen/Pencil
Notebook
Medication, if needed
Back to School
As summer comes to an end, continue to encourage your student to read daily.Reading readiness is a key component to excelling on their education journey.

There's still time!!
Hey mentors, it's not too late to encourage your mentee to turn in their application for Pine Cove!
Camp work days are starting soon for those students who have already turned theirs in.
Camp Work Day Schedule:
Wednesdays, July 6,13,20 and 27
Time: 9am - 11am
Location: Mercy Street
Each camper will need to attend 2 of the 4 offered days.
Special note: Mentors, if you are available August 7-12, and have a desire to be a camp counselor or just want to volunteer,
please contact Hannah Depaah at hannah@mercystreetdallas.org.

Summer school isn't just about learning. Four area schools,
G.W. Carver, Lorenzo De Zavala, Sidney Lanier and Anson Jones,
all came together for a community talent showcase.
